Hi, I am an indian with 3 yrs exp and an MBA gratuate. I had received an offer from a 5star hotel as sales executive for 5000 riyals. I did not take up the offer as I felt the offer was too low. Please let me know the market standard for such a post.

see u will have to see from different perspectives... from yours for example.. if ur based in india.. u can get almost, if not more than the salary offered in india... if ur working in a good company.. plus the growth 10 years down the line is much more than u might have here in qatar for a temporary period..

from their perspective, if ur brought from india... driving license would be one first issue, second being lack of experience in qatar market.. plus.. availability of other cheaper options for them..

bottom line: think about what ur worth... and sort it out... u gain a few years experience here... and then the transfer and noc rules changes... then u might be able to demand what u want...

my opinion will still to be there in india.. especially considering that you have just started working... 3 years aint any experience.. .

Aladdin you are so rude. :D :D

There is only one MBA, the one you mentioned.

George, search more! 3000 basic, that's my basic as a secretary!! :O

Let me reveal this, I am a secretary and I get 5000 as a monthly salary + lots of discounts and annual ticket, not only but also discounts on my family airline tickets!

Don't go for it! Hell no!

I think you have to at least start by 7000 or 8000 qatar riyals. In addition to accommodation/transportation/ticket and other benefits as well.

5000 is too low as a Sales Executive in a 5 stars hotel.

Cheers!
