Salary for Secretary/Admin role

I will be moving to Doha soon to join my husband. Like a lot of wives here I would like to carry on working and was wondering what kind of salary/package I should be expecting? I've heard that the mothly salary can be between 6-10k QR all in, full time. Also would it be better to be sponsored by the company that employs me or under my husband?

Yes you are quite right, this was in the Gulf times this morning I just sent it around to all my colleagues.

Unless you have a very high degree a Secretary earns anything from

QR 3000 to QR 5000 and it may or may not include working on Saturday which most private companies do.

I see from the GT (or Peninsula)that women sponsored by a family member now need to pay a QR500 fee for a licence allowing them to work in Qatar.

Regarding the QR 6,000 to QR 10,000...I doubt if the sarting salary will be that high.
