Sales Application Engineer from Europe
Hi all...
I'm a Sales Application Engineer with 8 years of experience coming from the top company in Lighting industry. Associate Degree. Coming from Europe.
I've been offered a position of Sales Support Engineer in Qatar - Doha, financial package 16,000QR (10,000QR basic sallary/ 6,000QR housing allowance), free car, petrol, phone, bonuses, medical and round air tickets for me and my family.
My friend from Dubai told me that this is not good offer and that I should wait since he sad, I can get basic sallary 20,000QR + all the extras.
Is that realistic what he sad or I should go for it? I'm planning to come with my wife and year old child.
Thanks!
Keep searching you will find a better offer.
Wish you a good luck.
Thanks "etaster"...
Yes I saw that while searching the web trying to find a decent accomontation but nothing good for 6000QR. I already asked for 14,000QR + 6,000QR + benefits but they turned me down with telling me lies which hurt a little and I was dissapointed a bit. I will not give up on asking for more when I tell them that I know they are telling me bull****. In a meantime I hope that I will get a better offer from other companies so I can choose a decent offer.
for 6000 you will not have a good family accommodation.
I think a reasonable offer would be 16.000 + all the mentioned benefits, at least.
We prefer Doha before Dubai since it's better for children. If I negotiate should I ask for the mentioned 20,000QR + all the benefits (housing, car, phone, medical etc.)??? Don't know how the negotiation goes around here. I've heard that people from Europe are often better (double) payed then people from India or Nepal etc.
Times have changed so has conditions of people in Europe ... people are coming in for the salaries as mentioned ..
Forget it!!!
your accomodation alone will be 10,000QR at least, childrens schools around 40,000-50,000 per year per child! u do the maths! 16,000 is CR*P
Yeah for 8 years experience coming from UK, better to stay there. In my opinion try to negotiate the double at least.
