Sidra Offer
Hello, I received an offer from Sidra Medical and Research Center for an administrator position. The benefits seem pretty good, but this is my first adventure working internationally and i not sure where the offer stands. Based on my current salary/benefits, I thought it would come in a bit higher.
Total Monthly: 34,359 QAR (Base + allowances)
Relocation Assistance
Annual Flight Allowance
Housing: Still unknown
I am very grateful for your thoughts.
Can a person working in Hamad hospital transfer to Sidra?
The salary is great as long as company provides you accommodation. If housing allowance is included in this number you've just posted, then you have to re-consider the offer. Housing in Doha is extremely expensive. Sidra is a good organization that offers generous benefits in the long run.
Nice offer when you are joining :)
Housing won't be considered an allowance unless the company provided housing if sull by the time I get to Doha. If the "corporate" housing is full the an allowance would be issued.
Total Monthly: 34,359 QAR (Base + allowances) . This basically means your housing allowance would be a part of 34359 and you may not get extra housing allowance ? If so give it a deep thought before you take up
I have actually mathmatecially looked at it both ways. The redsidcney requirements for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion are very specific. For calendar year 2015 i am more than likely not going to meet those requirements, so that yr could be an overall reduction. 2016 with the FEIE as an option thing should look better.
Gemini is that comparing your current pre tax package or after tax package in Us.
Thanks Gemini. Very helpful.
Given what Mary has stated you may want to go back and edit your messages to make it more generic.
Congrats Gemini , Super salary , join at once ....... welcome to QL & Qatar ..........................
Doesn't Sidra ask you to keep these details confidential? You should be aware that employers monitor forums like this and you are pretty easy to identify with this info
Init2winit02 - you do have to provide them up to three months of pay stubs or a copy of your current contract (offer letter). I went as far as to provide a copy of my total compensation package, as our fiscal year recently ended and we had that infomation on hand.
What it looks like is the comp was calculated on base salary and didnt account for any performance bonuses. Sidra's base to my current base was a 10% increase; however Sidra's total to my current base + bonus was a 3% decrease.
Did you have to inform them of your current salary and payslips. Roughly how much of a premium did you end up getting?
I'm awaiting a contract myself and wanted to know how just of a premium people get. Thanks Gemini.
It's a good offer. However, living here might be another issue. Take it for now, just leave when you're bored or unsatisfied.
THAT IS BEST OFFER YOU WILL GET
