Take home salary
In the forums experience are expat packages paid in full or are such elements like housing, transport paid at cost?
I have an offer which indicates the package as take home salary no mention of anything else.
If for example I had a housing allowance of 12000(I wish) and I sourced a villa for 11k would I just pocket the 1k as money in the bank? This is the case in the UK if you receive car allowance.
Any FInacne/Banking jobavailable for 1 year experienced MBA holder?
and get to keep the change, so it was in my interest to do the best deal possible, colleages of mine at the same company had housing provided, so they rattle around in a large villa, but lose out financially.
what your house allowance is ....
payment is usually a basic + house allowance + car allowance ....
the house allowance is usually an amount towards a poss %
though what baldrick states is what companies do when you rent a property.
most houses no longer include bills and internet ... so check what sort of place you want to be in ,.... also
whether you are alone or with family etc etc .....
good luck
If they pay you the allowance and you negotiate your own accommodation AND give the post dated cheques plus deposit then you win if you get 12000 and rent a 500 room!
That said, check with your HR department and scrutinize your contract.
usually if your House allowance is 12000, this will be given to you and you can pocket whatever leftover. This is true in my and all the companies i have worked with.
I pay the bill.
The package is just paid as a amount each month all in.
It depends who pays the bill. It is in your interest for the company to pay so you need to get somewhere that will maximize your allowance. Don't forget to check whether utilities are included or not.
