I was wondering if how much an elementary school teacher would make a month. Any information or links would be great, thank you.

It could be argued that the firing is due to teachers not meeting the good intentions and expectations of the school.

Dear YPostama. You can check my other posts abt this school when you type in search ALmaha English School. Do you have experience of working in a Arabic boys school? The Girls school might be alright to start with but the boys are extremely difficult to handle. There is not a big deal abt this school. It is another one of the same sort of local Arabic and British Curriculum based schools. Most of their senior staff has already left or leaving because of the management's rude behaviour. That is why they are hiring people from UK, Europe etc. and offfering them good remuneration. But once they get a local hire in less salary, they will ask seniors to leave. They have a bad reputation of hiring and firing staff.

I've been interviewd in person and I must say it was a great interview. All contacts with the school have been excellent too so I'm more than enthusiastic :)

They are managed by HumanSoft. They are bringing on a lot of changes, I'm sure we'll be alright. At least I hope so ;)

I think they are managed by a certain group that have a bad reputation.

That's actually a really good payscale for a teacher here! may i ask which school u will be working for and which grade?

It is to your benefit that you are being employed from abroad, you get all the extras which makes up your salary.

I am employed as local hire in the sense that I am sponsored by my father. So I don't get the housing allowance, flights and med etc... i just get a flat salary which really isn't that great :(

The gratuity is something that you will get on the basis that you work the duration of your contract and that you hand in your notice within the specified time. It's usually a week or in some cases a month's salary for every year you work there.

Carefree... which grade will you be working with? obviously it varies by far deopending on this.

Good luck :)

Tomorrow is another day ;)
