Don't expect for what they might give. You should negotiate for what to you want. If yo want your family here (if you're married / or post your wedding) you'll need atleast QR 13000 to get the family visa! So, act sensibly!

When you were interviewed they should have given you the idea or you should ask for the salary range for the position.

During the interview process, you will notice if you are a hot candidate or not, if you think you gave them the best answer, you can ask for the salary that you deserve.

When you will be given the job offer, you can still negotiate....

ask for 18000 QR and wait...they have their offer in mind and according to their pay scale...just always ask for more and leave a little margin for discussion...if they want you they will negotiate it..

To marc phil- are you sure they are giving a salary of $5-9k dollars? Because when you compute that in riyals, it will be Qr18-30K riyals. I dont think CGC will give that salary. That kindof salary is like you are working as manager in a company. Maybe they can only give a salary of 5k riyals.

HI Ron, NSN Qatar ba magiging employer mo?

If yes, kng contractor ka nila binibigay nila usually mga 5-9K USD all in, sagot mo lahat, but kung sila mag provide ng housing and transpo mo malamang mas mababa ng konti i-offer syo. Last time nung contractor nila ako 6750 USD binigay nila All inclusive na yun, may mga kabayan naman na 9K USD. Sa RF un ang rate sa Telecom ang alam ko ganun range din sila.

ask for the maximum they can give...in this country's current condition you should earn between 8000-1000qar for you to live decently here and at the same time save or send money to your country....

This is the technique now a days that employers are not showing their pay scale, they are doing demand and offer game. Actually they should make some standerds and education, experience and skills insentives.

Goodluck, discuss with people of your qualification and experience before putting a demand.

Whatever you will ask for, ultimately you will find yourself cheated. Be mentally prepared & be one step ahead of your employer in cheating............good luck.
