Why are private companies allowed to delay salaries
I have had an experience working in this great country. Honestly I find it very nice, safe and easy to live with. However, many private companies especially the small to medium size one are just raskals.
They exploit their employees and do not give salaries on time. Some are even delayed for 20 days, i mean how can you live like that?
If this practice do not improve NOBODY will ever work for this country again.
I hope this goes to the proper ears or eyes and STOP this bu(*#@$*.

Hi man your talking about 20 days salary delay i am working in a company called Palmyra Trading & Industrial
now they delay salary 5 months man can you imagine? may be you ask why you work & not complain many time complaint go to labor department but they did not took serious action and many of resign and left for good and many asking to release but our sponsor does not giving release we are trapped in this company how we can i do not know why this government not taking action and not changing law if i go i can come back after 2 years only. CAN YOU ADVICE ANY ONE WHAT I CAN DO I HAVE MANY OFFER OUT SIDE BUT I COULD NOT GET RELEASE FROM THIS COMPANY

THIS IS THE ONLY REASON IN MOST OF THE COMPANIES HERE
The reason is many company owners are not bothered about what is going on their company, and all these middle men so called Managers or who have been from start up with the owner, WITH A STATEMENT "YES SIR YES SIR and be-fooling the top management saying that no need to give salaries on time or increment, look when you throw peanuts you get monkeys, instead of giving salaries on time, delay and I will save the money for the company and you give the increment only to me as a Manager, see how much you will save each month?
In short, in most of the companies all these corrupt middle men are the real culprits who misguide the top management and they also never allow any qualified person to be employed in the company, that is why many qualified and deserving candidates today are without job. The moment they see any Resume profile with relevant qualifications and experience, they will not let that Resume even reach the management.

just to let you know that I know a company who does not pay salaries to their laborers for more than 2 months now!!! It is just a pity that they do not complain...
Let us take into consideration that the company belongs to small-medium enterprise but until when can they wait. The boss usually makes promises.....inshallah...inshallah....
In due time, these people will be worn-out!!!
Because the employees never report this to the concerned authorities.... like the labor department or NHRC. If I never report such wrongful act, I dont have to complain then. :-)
That's the problem. People turn a blind eye and ear and to afraid to confront this issue. This thing happened to me and I did not allowed this company to abuse me further so I quit.
It's really a problem of culture in the business arena I guess and I hope this improves.
The thing is if you want to put up a business be ready to pay your employees. If not give severance and close shop. Stop exploiting and deceiving people.

delay in salary payment is not allowed, but one should understand that small and med. size firms don't have much capital to start with, and they all depend on the income from the business (which is wrong)
Throughout my entire business life (more than 27 years) we always pay the staff on 3rd of the month (just to give time to close payroll). and in case of holiday, it's paid in advance.
Little things that keep the business successful:
payroll on time and staff motivation.
