Any Qatar Airways cabin crew here?

I recently have been offered a position as a cabin crew in Qatar Airways. I am a little anxious and wondering if anyone could share with me some tips on living in Doha and if one can adapt to such a different lifestyle.

Maybe you can tell me more about living in Doha? For example, is food at the local supermarket expensive, could you give me an idea of like the prices?

Also, for a women living in Qatar, is it safe and what are the protection rights of expat women there should anything happen?

As for the routes that QA flies, any idea? How much are the allowances given in a month for cabin crew?

Any info will be very useful. Thanks!!!

don't know about the exact payscales luv,i'm sure it's all there somehwhere in the contract...female accomodation is usually a room to yourself in a two bed apt. but i believe there's also two to a big room in a 2-bed apt. these days & you get your own room as part of a promotion...

Do you know how much cabin crew earn? i know basic is QR3300, and hourly pay is QR39 per hour. how many hours do they fly a month? -

i think it's stated on your contract if how many hours you'll be flying. FYI, your applyng a cabin crew on a national carrier of Qatar so expect alot of frequency.

Its tax free so on average how much do they earn a month -

yep tax free..I think the only thing you need to spend is your food. Accomodation, laundry and transpo are provided by the company.

Also the accommodation, is it sharing a room with someone else, or sharing an apartment, how many in one apartment?

It depends

for starters luv,you won't actually be living in Doha much,i have good friends amongst crew who i see like twice a month, sometimes less,'cos they're flying...ALL THE TIME...QR has so many destinations & they keep adding more but the no: of aircraft & crew aren't keeping up with that growth...hope you LOVE to fly,'cos you're going to be doing a LOT of it...oh & on the days you're actually in Doha, you'll have to be back @ your accomodation by 10pm like a good girl & no you can't have guests over after that either...As for safety,Qatar is very safe, for men & women alike, just avoid driving, the country is safe, the roads on the other hand, are not...your earnings are tax-free so cost of living is relatively lesser than other places...
