because i am only a tea boy?

kabayan.
By kabayan.

I came here in Doha through tourist visa which has 28 days allowed to stay. It was a very difficult experienced for me to find a job with a minimal day to apply. My current company offered me a job at the time as a sales executive, unfortunately my boss assigned me as a tea boy because the nepali tea boy at that time was on vacation..but when a nepali guy came back from his vacation he was transferred in the other field as a laborer. I worked as a tea boy for 2 years but I've learned a lot in office works without the helped of my beloved Filipino secretary. I learned how to do invoicing, I learned how to write inquiry, quotation and making purchase order to our supplier local and abroad. When my boss gave me some paper works my beloved kabayan secretary got jealous and told me that work was for him. He wanted me not to learn in office works. He is a very clever person in terms of hiding his paper works and not to show me how to do invoicing and any related office works. Just to make the story short after two years I applied to another company as a Store keeper and offered me triple of my tea boy salary with accommodation and transportation. But my boss did not give me a release, I demanded my boss to give me another work and increase my salary otherwise sent me in my country. My boss knew my capability and he promoted me to work in accounts Department.

Im happy for your to grow, sometimes or most of the time talaga ata na kapwa pa natin kabayan ang hadlang sa pag angat ng isa pa natin kababayan. Yan na talga ang mentalidad lalo na sa labas ng bansa natin. Nakakalungkot man isipin palagi na lang inggit at kasakiman ang nangunguna sa karamihan. But im glad you fight for your right!

from the story, the guy did apply for a sales executive, meaning he has the qualifications (presumed to be having an experience and qualifications). Actually, as per his story, the company offered him the position but apparently, he ended up being a teaboy which I find disgusting (but maybe because he had no recourse because of visa issue).

What I don't like about his story is mentioning the irritants between him and his "kabayan" secretary. His promotion can be considered a delayed one since I think he has the qualification of an office employee and not a teaboy?

And that what pisses me off, the irritants between the two "kabayans".

Just like you guys, dont judge me because you don't know how I protect my "kabayans" under me that many times I stand for their defense even putting my positions sometimes in a compromising way! Wait 'til you become me in my company (run by other nationalities which belittles Filipinos capabilities), and why I am piss-off by irritants between fellow Filipinos.

I would rather keep it internally rather exposed to everybody! Some are just "bragging".

Again for the last time dmighty solomon, not all of us are equal in intelligence, me myself sometimes loose my initiative.

sometimes the title is not relevant but what is important is the content.

He said his filipino co-worker because it is in fact a filipino, ok maybe it's irritating for some of us to hear but admit it or not it is the truth, that some filipinos has the bad attitude of being jealous with fellow filipino.

He could just said, "inspite of all the hardship, I trained myself to learn new techniques and more skills that I could use for future endeavours, blah blah blah"... And not to mention the specific of his fellow Filipino worker as if he is emphasizing the bad character of a fellow worker.
