Hi,
here my case, I receive an offer to work for one of the ministries, an I received the contract to sign (3 copies), (it was not signed from the government side yet) a month later I received a new offer with lower grade and lower salary, they said they are sorry there was a mistake !!

can they do that? I need a legal advice about what can be done ,specially that I resigned from my current job after i signed the contract for them and I am now jobless.

P.S: I am still at my country of origin and I didn't work at Qatar before

Thanks

Sometimes it so happens that an offer is made without looking closely at the HR laws of the country. But, at the time of drafting the contract, all these clauses are referred to and some that do not match your position, age and experience are altered to conform to the law.

It happened to me that a couple of benefits offered were taken back with a verbal apology that they made a mistake during the offer.

you can come , within 3 month your company has to make an ID that is mean you have to sign another legal agreement

so , if you got a same salary and benefits and ,,

stay with them otherway you can stop,

you will lost nothing ,,

my friend,

first of all bear in mind that here in Qatar employers can do almost everything as the labor law does not help much for employees. they can ruin u and also they can crown u. But if this is a government institute, I think u r somewhat in safe hands. I don't think u can get much legal actions as it will be only a wasting of money and time even u have some positive points such as the breach of original offer by the company. that will not help you much since if your employer has not signed the said contract.

For the rest, better follow the given answers of wannabelikemike, daffodils and oryx as they are well perfect.

They can change it a year after you have been working there.... its the Ministry...what are you going to do about it? Complain to the Ministry about what the Ministy is doing.....Take or leave it is your choice. Sounds harsh but true.

Does the "new offer" is still higher than what you had in your home country? If not, then stay there & look for anther job. If yes, then just accept it.

Is the Qatar base company a Gov't company? If yes, then your in good hands!
