May be some of the companies still do not know the right address-that's why bodies are left in the mortuary……

The grave yards have a boundry which are within the city with a gate mostly open and have a clear sign board mostly in Arabic and you can peak in and see the graves as described by Aisha..

The central one, Abu Hamor is very big and off the main road again with clear sign boards and has a Masjid & Wash/Bath house for the dead,if you will outside the enterance... can go and check it out...

OK THANKS BUT NORMALLY HOW ARE WE GOING TO RECOGNIZED IF IT IS A GRAVEYARD?

As you see from the answers, yes there are a lot of graveyards, but you will not really recognize them as graveyards as they look very different from the kind of graveyards other religions have. The Muslim graveyards do not have headstones with names engraved on them. They are basically just a mount of dirt with a rock placed on them. Also Muslims do not go to graveyards and put flowers nor do they go there to pray for the dead. The muslim graveyard is a place were they rest the body, and this body does not have a soul anymore, so just an empty shell.

Besides, all the above mentioned places some local families (elite) have their own grave yards on their personal properties. Like the royal family has some where in RAYYAN and some other families follow the same trend.
