Oh yeah... Seeing the post about the book fair just reminded me. You can talk to the people who run the volunteer side of things or sign up to volunteer over there too. It's at the Qatar Exhibition Center (just behind the City Center). Doha 2006 has a stand as you enter (on the right)...

Good luck

Check out the Doha Asian Games website:

http://www.dohaasiangames.org

On the right hand side there's a link to information about volunteering for Doha 2006. Right now they're looking for 21,000 volunteers for the event. A good share of those volunteers are needed throughout the course of the next year so you can get as involved as you want for as long as you want.

According to my friends who are currently volunteers, there are plenty of different roles out there for all age and skill levels.

Thats a good idea, I mean it shouldn't be only for teenagers, even for adults its good to spend the abundant time we have here, to my knowledge most of the pplz here are working 8 hours a day. Since working in two or more places is not allowed, I would love to spend my free time by volunteering, so if any body knows something, plz share.
