Loki, I agree with you regarding people not using the blogs as a blog!

Okay guys, so let's get feedback on two things:

1. What other Forum areas are required? Give me a list of sections that you think are useful and we'll add the best ones.

2. Should I restrict the use of blogs to only people who want to actually keep a "web log" - i.e. a diary or journal. Maybe whoever wants this can request it.

Let me know...

Looks good, Qatari.

Something I have been thinking about is the blog feature.

I do not believe that the blog feature is being utilised enough to warrant its existence. Almost no-one uses it in the way it was probably intended (ie to tell an ongoing story about their personal experiences in Qatar). From what I have seen, most of the ones that do use it, create a blog post to ask a question about life in Qatar when they should have created a forum topic... this means that a whole bundle of useful "information" is being hidden away in someone's blog, rather than being classified under the relevant topic in the 'Forum' section.

Would anyone really care if the blog option was removed, and all posts appeared in the forums? (Even if we added a couple of sections)...?

Cheers

By the way, I was modifying my details and there I choosed one of the new styles you added to the site but it didn't change and when I went there again I didn't find them anymore, are you still working on this part or what happened ?

Thanks - if we had to do the re-launch in true Gulf style we would have thrown a party at the Ritz-Carlton and the Gulf Times would have put us on page 2 *grins*
