Dear all,
Since I'm in this forum, I remark that life seems expensive in Qatar.
When I see that people have a salary of 10-14000 QR and renting appart costs minimum 5000 QR how could you save money after meal, furniture, etc..
If you are bringing your family here in Qatar, then definitely, that 14K will not be enough if housing and transpo is already included. You should negotiate for something like a net SALARY of your need less the housing and transpo (food is always included in the salary). When you're here, everything you heard is a myth. Welcome to come here and experience simple life!!!!!!!!!!!

No offense. It's only observations after some investigations about costs of life. I knew what we heard by media. But when you go deeper in research, you'll compare what you see with what you get.

I have opportunity to take a sabattic year ("année sabatique" in french, used or not in english?).
or ppl have their own goals here, apart from crazy savings.. like changing the life styles, like getting new experience, like some personal issues..or like in Novi's case: to learn new language and new culture... so whoever are here here, it is THEIR choice....everyone still has his/her own country to go back to..
