Unfortunately, there is no PG culture here.

PG = Paying Guest, where the guest pays for accomodation and food while residing at another place.

Here, if you plan to stay single, you gotta search for executive single bachelor accomodation (depends from QR 1500 to QR 3000 for a single room with attached bath and no kitchen).

For food, you will have to depend on various Indian restaurants (you can easily eat heartily under 500QR).

However, if you wish to cook on your own, you need to rent a studio with kitchen facility (and the price can go anywhere from 3000 QR to 5000 QR or more depending on the quality and location).

In short, housing prices here doesn't make much sense compared to the quality.

It will be best for you to negotiate with your company to provide staff accomodation (+ food) suitable for senior staff, if you plan to stay single.

If you plan to bring your family, negotiate with your company to provide furnished 2 BHK flat (now available at market rate of 6000QR), and then you can stay in peace and not worry about any culture change
