Housing costs

Dear All

Could you please clarify the cost of a good 3 bedroom villa in a nice compound in Doha. Nothing spectacular but with community pool, may be garden space for kids etc...

I have heard anything from 8,000k to 16,000k.

If my budget was 10,000k could i find someplace nice for that price?

Thanks

I've just finished my first house-hunt in Doha.

It seems rent of compound villa is getting increase again, my budget was 10k, but I couldn't find the NICE villa. (I also do not require GORGEOUS, just NICE.) It depends on the area, quality of building, facilities of compound and neighborhood, but NICE 3 bedroom villa costs minimum 13k with Semi-furnished currently. Large compounds with hundreds of units with more facilities (supermarket, hair saloon and theater room etc) are costs much higher.

I managed to find lovely Semi-furnished 3 bedroom (plus maid room) villa in small compound with swimming pool, fitness facility and garden for 13k.

I visited two of 10k unfurnished villa, but those compounds are rented as staff accommodation and NOBODY living so far! Plus, finishing and utilities are cheap quality. I couldn't accept it as I am from developed country.

This site will help you to know the market.
