ello guys
I transferred to a company here in Doha. They were not my original sponsors.I gave them an NOC from my original sponsor. After one year with them,I got another offer which would pay me 3x what this company is currently paying me.I went to them for an NOC but they refused threatening that if I resign they would send me back to my country and place a 2 year ban on me.My question brothers and sisters is:do they have the right to repatriate me bearing in mind that they are not my original sponsors, and also what will i do.Do I have a place where I can seek redress. Also I thought that here in Doha that local hires are entitled to an NOC after successfully completing one year with their adopted sponsors?.Please whoever knows for sure the solution to this my predicament should kindly reply me so that I would know the next step to take.Thank you guys?

...care of his employees, he should set them free.

So they can look for an employer who CAN!

Employing people in not POWER, it is a sweet

RESPONSIBILITY!

To answer your question...

It doesn't.

Most local employers still follow their old ways.

That's why Qatar's being criticized internationally

after they won in their bid to host the FIFA 2022.

International community said that expats are treated

as slaves like in the olden days. So they own you,

you cannot transfer to another employer, you cannot

leave the country unless they permit you to.

So if that is your case, your in their mercy.

I'm sorry if I offend locals & some employers

with this post, but although it is the law and

customs around here, it doesn't make it right.

In religion for example, one should face all

necessary temptations to test the strength of

his faith.

In business, if an employer CANNOT take good

care of his employees and they want out, be

man & respectful enough and let them go free.

Because somebody else CAN.

irrespective of being a local hire or not, it is at the discretion of the employer if they will provide NOC or not, except if it was clearly mentioned in your contract or agreement that they will give NOC in case of resignation or termination.

IT DEPENDS ON YOUR CONTRACT YOU SIGNED, ACTUALLY WHEN YOU ANALYZE YOUR PROBLEM, THE PROBLEM IS YOU, YOU ARE TRANSFERRING FROM TIME TO TIME FROM OTHER SPONSORS TO ANOTHER WITHOUT FINISHING YOUR CONTRACT. BEFORE YOU CAN TRANSFER TO ANOTHER, YOU HAVE TO FINISH FIRST YOUR CONTRACT.

They have all the right unless you sign in the contract that they will give you NOC better ask them politely don't insist that your local hired so you will be entitled for NOC.good luck
