assalaamu alaykum,

to the non-muslims, peace be upon those who follow righteous guidance,

i am on a shortlist of three for a position at the fanar cultural islamic centre and need to know how much i should ask for salary if i am going to live in qatar.

so how much will i need to ask for to live simply with myself, my wife and two young children and still save a little money each month?

assalaamu alaykum,
peace be upon those who follow righteous guidance,

thankyou for the constructive reply,

by simply i mean a simple not expensive place to live, we dont' buy disigner clothes or go out for meals often and obviously we don't drink.

i am wondering if i could get my children into the local schools or would i have to pay for private schools like most expats as ideally i would want them to be speaking arabic at school and english at home so they have both languages.

"simply with yourself, your wife and two kids"? it already doesn't sound simple at all... i think about 35,000-40,000 would be more or less ok.
