hey guys ! i use to work in Qatar and i left 6 months ago , my friend wants to invite me for a visit is it possible for my situation ? any ideas what should i do to get the visit / tourist visa ?

Yes. Possible. If your friend unable to get a visit visa for you, you can get a tourist visa from hotel.
