I am going to move from Dubai to Doha. It must be an absurd question to someone but I want to know how are Indian's treated in Qatar, Are there Indians in high posts in companies, do they get high pay? How is the job market can we easily change job from government sector to someother company? I am comparing from Dubai as Indians here are treated well and are in good posts in jobs and business and changing jobs is easy from government to governement and semigovernment but for private one should take an NOC.

Hi

Dont ask this kind of questions in open forums like QL.You cant expect being treated everywhere in the world with the same courtesy. it may differ from country to country and as well as person to person. If you are more educated then you should be more polite and helpful. unfortunately this is not the case with majority.

Qatar is a peaceful country where you can meet good people and bad ones like everywhere in the world. Do not care what Indians, pakistanis, srilankans and bangladeshis tell about you. instead help them without classifying them by nationality or religeon. immatured and un educated people will keep tell you so much of rubbish. dont look at that.

Indians are not treated well in Qatar as they are in Dubai. But believe me a big segment of Indians population in Doha are drawing more than 10k salries in Doha. They are everywhere like, QP, QCHEM, QASCO, QAPCO, RAS GAS, QATAR GAS and many foreign oil companies and other business establishments. You are welcome.

Hey Alasi, even if the person is from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh or Pakistan, most of the people they dont recognize and say He is INDIAN or must be Indian. May be because there used to be many Indians earlier. Now they are replaced. What do you think about this? Offcourse its the Kerala People from India who are more here. People from rest of India we find less.

Indians in Qatar are treated the same way as Indians in India.

If you have a good education or you have money you will be treated well. If you have neither then you will be treated badly.

I don't agree with Alasi, there is all type of jobs everyone is doing here, so he better stop saying labors, may be he might be doing this job, all d best. Just come around here in Oil Field (Most of them are Indians and doing well).FYI

There are plenty of Indians working in very good posts here in Qatar and there are lots of well known Indian Businessmen as well. You will not be able to change your job from one Company to the other like in Dubai as there are certain rules and regulations here which gives more privileges to the Employer over the Employee. If you want to change your job you should get a No Objection Certificate from the present empoloyer or you will have to exit the country for two years to apply for another visa. You should complete at least one year to request for an NOC to change the sponsorship. Please note that even if you cancel and go back to India you should get the NOC from the previous employer to apply for a new visa if it is within two years.
