Hi everyone here. I am a bachelor 24yrs looking for rental accommodation. I am new to Doha. My office is located at Tornado towers. I intend to stay at a reasonable walking distance from office. What would be the rents for accommodation close by my office. i am ready for 2 sharing too. Also advice me if i can stay at a place which may be reasonable and take a public transport.

Thank you for your valuable comments. Since its highly impossible to get a reasonable accomodation in West bay at that price. Could you suggest me few areas where i could stay and take a transport to office. I am getting a transport allowance of around 35 qar per day. Thank you again.

have your checked with your company a transportation option? They have to either pick you up and drop you off, or provide with reasonable transportation allowance (not for Karwa bus)

3K won't secure you even a room in west bay. 1BR apartments starts from 10K. 2BR could be 13-20K; 3BR 16k and UP. So 1 room even in 3BR apartment is about 5,5K plus utilities.

No one walks in Doha. How you are planning to walk even 10 minutes in +45+50 heat?

This area is a bit pricey and I am unaware of any sharing options within walking distance.

Plus a car is a must in Doha due to the weather and unfriendly streets...

Plus u need to consider that taxis are expensive so u will need to move around after work...

Walking is not an option in Doha. The streets are not pedestrian friendly..

if you're looking for reasonable rent, try living in Ghanim bus station or rear side of al fardan, one ride to your area from that karwa bus station...
