options for a car

Hi,

I am wondering what the options are for having a car in Doha.

I may work out here for 2 or 3 years, would it be best to rent a car for that period or if I bought a car would it depreciate in value too much in 3 years and therefore its better to just rent?

What is a typical cost for a basic four door, second hand, saloon car?
What are the rental costs per month for the same type of car?

Are there any other options for having a car?

thanks,

its better to buy well maintained used fast moving car (like toyota or nissan), coz the total depreciation will be less than the rent cost, and regarding the avg price of the sedan car u can check the classified here in QL to c the prices.

Not only you will buy for much less than the 72 K; you will still be able to sell it before leaving. So the comparison here should be between the 72 K and the depreciation only not the total price.

. . . will be a better option than renting a car. Normally, you can get a little over QR2,000 per month to rent a car for an automatic 4-door sedan 2012 model. in 3 years, lost money will be over QR72,000. If you buy a pre-owned car, check lower mileage, owner background and car history. You may be able to get something around QR20,000 plus. Even if you purchase a brand new car, you can find little less than QR50,000 and may opt to take a 3-year loan, if you will have the facility to do so.
