Orbit Showtime - Thiefs!
Guys! I subscribed to OSN FAmily package via there web site, got the card from Starlink. They charged me immediately once i have provided them with my credit card details. They even charged me twice! Not even explaining them why. I contacted them to ask the reason why this was done and they explained to me that second charge is as a deposit which is never returned! Upon my cancellation in the future, they will just keep subscribtion running for 1 more month, and then cancel! I totally disagreed with this as none told me about this!
NExt thing is even more disturbing. The card they gave me isn't working. I told them about it, they advised me that per their system card is ok, but I need to wait for a technician to come and install free HD decoder. 2 weeks after - no decoder, no card. EVery day i call them in their head office, everyday the schedule the appointment for technician to come, but nothing yet. I complained numerous times and advised them of cancellation. But was told that no money refund! What a hell is that? Why is this going on? where can i complain to shut them down and get compensation? Really frustrating stupidity. ALl i wanted is to get family channels for my daughter and us to watch.

Be very careful when you deal with Starlink. Some of the offers which Qtel provides are never honoured by Starlink as well. If you talk to them they will give you vague reasons.
Actually this is probably the inadequate Doha office at work. When I have difficulties (which I never had in UAE) I call Dubai to complain.
While the techs are good here, the central office seems to be poorly organized/run - I seem to get a quicker response and better service if I call Dubai
well mate ur frustration is justified as the so called services sector are only interested in the money [subcription] fees...after u pay them they just disappear..it happens in all sections..banking...insurance....telephony...utilities...sorry to say but when it comes to customer service & accountability...you will not find any sector who will give u an assurance "that don't worry we will help u rectify they problem" u need to have really good "wasta" the basic attitude is WHO CARES....

Raven, I don't think this is Qatari service. I think it all comes from their head office in UAE. Cause they were extremely responsive when I was subscibing onto them. After problems began, they stopped responding. I just don't know how to unsubscribe as they don't reply my emails to unsubscribe the service!
it doesn't change the fact that its disgraceful service from Showtime not to have the guys cable up and running after hes paid for it.....this is just typical Qatari service (or lack of)
it pays to research before you pay.
