When renewing your Philippine passport at the embassy, do they keep the old passport while processing the new one?

Requirements for passport renewal:

1. Old passport

2. Photocopy of PP front & back page

3. 240QR

4. PP Renewal Form (@ the embassy)

* Wear shirt with collar

*photo to be taken in embassy after payment

*then after data typing, they will give back your old passport.

*wait for more or less 45 days, you will recieve a sms.

*bring your receipt and old passport in claiming.

No, its you who should keep your old passport all the time. When renewing here at our embassy they require you to bring your old passport with a photo copy(1st & last page in one A4 size), fill up a form available from embasy and pay some amount of I think about 240QR. You dont need to bring an ID picture. Then, after 30-45days when claiming it bring your old passport and the receipt. So old and new passport will then be on your position. keep safely your old passport as it can help you for future reference. Lastly, a 100QR charges from MOI for visa stamping on your new passport, your PRO can help you this. Wishing you a happy new year...
