Qatar v Oman

I have possible job offers in Doha and Muscat, the salary and benefits are too close to call: Around 1700 British pounds, housing, utilities and flights etc. I really need to save money any ideas which place would allow me to do that more effectively? Any other considerations I should take into account? Thanks for all help.

Definitely go for Muscat.  People are sooo friendly, and the frenetic pace of life and inflation hasn't kicked in yet.

Oman...It has natural greenery.

UAE, Doha's & Dubai's greenery is like its Islands.......... & Inflation....all artificial!!!

Sry Deedee But I have been twice to Oman and the PPl are much educated than here in Doha and they speak English fluently..so communication wont be a problem..i recommend Muscat, for saving..

not as congested as Doha,  cheaper, more to do and see,  but the expat community is much smaller.   In Doha you never need to know Arabic, but in muskat it may be harder to communicate.
