Ramadan timings
If your a consultant for a company, contracted to work for 240 days a year, but nothing being stipulated regarding Ramadan Timings, is it correct to be forced to continue working 8 hours a day, although your Muslim and having law of the land, etc? Does anyone else have this experience since Ramadan started? I thought it was against the law for anyone to work more than 6 hours a day, regardless of what type of permanent or contractual contract they have?
If nothing is mentioned about the ramadan timing in your contract, the Qatar Labour Law prevails. Also even mentioned in the contract/agreement, you should not be forced to work unless if your stop work may led to a major accident or a mojor loss. Again your pay should be 125 % & what ever the loss your work hours should not be more than 10 hrs.
