Things to do during Ramadan?

I have just moved to Qatar on my own and am wondering what to do to keep myself busy during Ramadan--any suggestions apart from feasting at Iftar? Also, is there anything to do during the day?

It would be a good idea to visit Fanar, which is on what I call "bank street" - the road that has two huge swords as a landmark.

Fanar is a spiral building that you can see from the MIA and I'm rather certain that they would have useful info and tips for Ramadan.

Plus the MIA library section may also be able to assist.

And KATARA, is a cultural centre with loads of golf sized buggies carting visitors around. I'm not sure myself if you are allowed to stay hydrated whilst the fasting time is on.

I'm afraid I don't have numbers so hopefully fellow QLers can assist in this regard.

hth.
