I just came across an article in gulf times as sugested by someone.... is it true that calling from internet to home country phone is a punishable offence... please suggest!

Liferocks as long as the use of the VOIP is for personal reasons there is no problem. But if you are planning on getting some "nice" profit out of it you will be in trouble with the authorities.

Several posts and discussions on this during 2008...just do a search and you will find lots of stuff to read about.
