Imperial Threads: Motifs and artisans from Turkey, Iran and India

This exhibition will focus on the exchange of artistic and material cultures between the Ottoman, Safavid, and Mughal Empires. Highlighting MIA's masterpiece carpets, among other artworks, from Turkey, Iran and India, these objects will be contextualized within the historical circumstances of politics and artistic production of their time, primarily from the 16th to the 18th centuries.
