Power Qatar Summit 2018

Qatar’s only power generation, transmission and distribution event called the Power Qatar Summit is back for its second edition. To be held on 13th and 14th November 2018 at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha, the Power Qatar Summit is the only summit of its kind in the region focusing on the future of the power sector in Qatar with a strong emphasis on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean technology.

Recent industry reports indicate that the country’s total power generation capacity has grown by 3.4GW since 2010, to 11GW. To support the country’s future power generation requirement, key power projects - Umm Al Houl independent water and power project (IWPP) and Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion - Phase 12 are underway. Power Qatar Summit will focus on the latest developments in Qatar’s power and energy industry.
