The Qatar govt has allocated land to build a church. Please visit www.rosaryqatar.com and you will be able to get the location of the new church, the mass timings, events etc for the english, arabic, italian, french, philipino, Indian etc community.
The Parish organise all sorts of event within the grounds.
The Qatari's are quite accommodating. Just don't go overboard. Cross is fine.
We had midnight mass for Christmas(2005) and Easter(2006). There were also some locals who were curious, (don't want to mention too much here) but were politely shown the way out. I suppose they were intrigued by women and men standing together in prayer.
