Both a word of encouragement and caution......having been through depression myself, I know how enjoyable life can be having broken through the self-defeating train of thought. If you want advice from someone who has been through it, just shoot me a note.
However, don't let people trivialize the angst that comes with depression. A large portion of the population suffers from some form of depression at one time or another. Unfortunately, many do need more support than just e-mails and a pat on the back. For many it can be a physical issue and not just a mental one....trust me. If it is something that lingers for prolong periods of time, talk to your best friends about it and open up with what you are dealing with....that is the first step. It is nothing to be ashamed about. I found when I talked to others about it, many of them were struggling with the same issue and it became a sources of support.
