I think it's sad if people take their personal experience and act like it's global truth.

People need to realize that these encounters are chance based.

most of the people in Qatar are non-western... so by default I would say you will have most driving problems (or any other problems) with non-westerners... so what?

Now in this case xena described a specific problem where non-western people make a serious point of noticing her.

Where is the argument for that? A westerner isn't going to stare at a white chick.

It also seems that some locals consider western styles of dress an invitation to be treated like a piece of meat... of course people raised in America or otherwise would disagree, it is nonetheless the reality.

I'm not making any assumptions on how xena was dressed, but I thought I would throw that out there anyway.

Are westerners the main cause of drunk driving problems? I don't know, it could be. We deal with that a lot back home... So what? does that make us bad drivers as a whole?

Every society has bad apples that appear in ways unique to the culture. let's relax a bit eh?
