Its sad in the Gulf that hard work is not respected, at least in Oman you see natives working at gas stations, taxi drivers etc. etc. The reliance on foreign labor will never end if the natives in a country think real work is beneath them. Not everyone is destined to a Managerial job. You still need a labor force. Even things done by hand like sewing for women is not respected they see it as work that should be done by others. Just like children are being raised by the maids that can't even speak their language, I don't see a change anywhere on the horizon as the society does not respect work. They think being rich means having people do everything for you, its a shame and its getting more imbreed daily. Its sad the ladies walk so little and get no sunshine in Qatar their bones are no good, and diabetes is on the rise. I doubt we will see any changes in the near future if parents don't start raising their children to think differently but they also have to be role models.
