It does not always mean someone is trying to hack your account. Gmail is used by millions of users worldwide. there are many similar usernames (with a sight difference). someone might have mistyped his username and would have realized later.

this still doesnt mean you can downplay the attempt though. it might be someone really trying to hack your account.

Most of the hackers use automated programs so its not always necessary ur a vip for ur account to be hacked.
