I recommend - find yourself a friend with a boat for the summer and a friend with a desert camp for the winter - it will add a whole new dimension to your stay here in Qatar and makes it really fun and worthwhile!
Alternatively, get some friends together and a rent a dhow for an afternoon or try some jet-ski from the hotels - good fun.
After all - the scene here lives from ppl's initiatives, so what we don't organise won't happen as a party or trip...
