I am keeping my eyes on all the updates. Nothing much has changed but it looks like it will stay a category 2. Hopefully it won't get any stronger. Gustav was a cat 2 when it hit us last week and it was pretty bad. Parts of Baton Rouge are still without power. Lower parts of Southeast Louisiana are just wiped out. The major news stations didn't stay around to report about it because New Orelans wasn't affected. There was also no looting or shootings.

We were lucky since our power came back on last Friday (went out on Monday). My dauther's power just came back on line this past Wednesday. My brother lives in the Woodlands and I am fretting about him and his family as well. I have tons of friends in the Kingwood area as well. It has been a busy two weeks around here. All we have gotten from Ike is a few strong rain showers but the winds have been gusting all day. Hopefully I wont' lose anymore shingles off my roof. I am on three waiting list with roofers to come and have a look at the damage from last week. UGH!!! Thank goodness hubby came in from Doha Wednesday of last week. It's been nice to be able to hand some of the work over to him.

I will be up all night watching the updates on Ike. Please keep all of these people in your prayers. The power outages are going to be massive, but hopefully everyone will come through with flying colors.

Later 'yall
