You were lucky to get it settled so easily. Do you guys believe what happened to me. I was on holidays in July 10-31 and I do remember I checked my traffic violation before I left on holidays which was showing NO VIOLATION for my number plate as well as my ID. When I came I checked it on the moi website (middle of August) and was shocked to see that my car number plate is showing a violation in April but was in Oman and my fine mentioned was 15 Omani Riyals. I took the print and went to Traffic Dept. in Khalifa. They checked the computer and told me if I have not gone to Oman I should go and talk to the Department handling the violations. I gave the print and told the Officer that I was not in Oman and I did not visit Oman recently. Before I go to them I send an e-mail to them requesting to reverse their system as I did not travel to Oman. They told me to go the Customs and Port Authorities Dept. near the Sea Port and get a certificate from them stating that I did not travel in those days by car out of Qatar. I went there and spent half an hour to get a certificate for which they charged me Qr. 10/- . I went back to Khalifa and gave the paper to the Officer to reverse the system.
