Unless the proposed law did not have proper checks and balances and would give men the right to claim their wives were adulterous without proper evidence. Perhaps the definitions were not clear, thus leaving lacunas and open to abuse by unscrupulous men. Very possible.

Also, is it possible that if there is an allegation of adultery and the woman gets put in police custody, there is the possibility of ill-treatment in police custody to extract (yes, strong word indicating "force") a confession, etc? There must be proper checks and balances, as I said before. Human rights must be protected. I'm guessing that there are human rights issues as the basis of the NCW's protests.
