I started a topic about tax and working a week or so ago. If you earn money in a tax free country, then you are required to pay tax on it to your home country if you intend to return to your home country and are still considered a resident of the UK for tax purpose. I am from Australia but I think it is the same for the UK. They judge whether they consider you still a resident on a case to case basis.
Here's a link to my topic. But I suggest you ring your taxation office.
