I think we all have to figure out for ourselves a relevant personalised reason for living. Even if we believe in heaven and the after life, the questions we have can just be repeated. If we live to get to an afterlife, then what is the purpose of the afterlife? Why would we want to live in an endless idealic place and have to continue existing forever? While death scares me, I think the thought of no death scares me more.
