passport cards meant for land/boat travel? I have no idea if they would - I'm just speculating here. I believe the EU has this form of passport for travel within the EU and the US has one for North American/Caribbean traveling; I think Canada either has one or is getting one for the same purpose. I wonder if these would be considered a legal ID? It is, after all, a passport. Maybe in conjuction with copies of the regular passport & resident card paperwork?

If anyone wants to baby-sit my kids while I go try this out, I'll be happy to report back on the results! ;-)
