LOL! nomad_08, let me correct myself - 'Make-do' car washers. They always make sure they take off the dust put leave minor scratches.
I once tried to get a polish and wax job on my car, and couldn't find a decent place. Tried Al Ayaal (hopeless) and then Zeigart (sp.?) in Salwa Road. They couldn't even remove the swirl marks. Finally a friend of mine, who does this as a hobby, had to come to the rescue. He clayed and sandpapered out the swirls, polished it twice and then sealed it with a paint sealer and wax. He even got rid of the orange peel effect. It took him two days, but the car got the showroom finish.
After driving in Doha for a long time, I have learned that there is no point in trying to maintain the looks of your car. The weather, the bad car washes, etc. Just get a new one every four years. LOL! This way you can avoid the lousy inspections too!
