You have mentioned that you came from Abu Dhabi and so do we (my husband & I). Knowing the uncontrollable inflation rate of cost of living in Abu Dhabi, taking note also that you are not getting a good salary package from your current company, I think the amount you have mentioned sounds very appealing to you...what I have discovered, although, we are merely 2 months old in Doha, accommodation rent here is more than half (if not, at least half) of the rent in AUH...but since you are planning to bring your family here, you might really have to think about it but if your wife plans to work + taking into consideration living a simple life, I think, you can survive Qatar...and still live together with your family.
