its sad, he should have tried to find out first why did u skip school.... dont be rude to your parents,try to talk to him and try to make understand , i m sure he ll be feeling guilty too...i m a mother n i know how bad one feels after hitting one's child. u seem real upst that s why u posted it here...try to work it out with him. and dont be so unhappy after all he is your father and must be loving you and doing a lot for u some times...try to recall good things about him and let it go
