I'm not sure I understand your position Boxbe. First you say "ban all alcohol onboard". And then you say "alcohol drinking fine". If certain people don't like alcohol being consumed on a plane, they have the choice to: walk, drive, cruise, OR fly on a plane that has no alcohol. And to answer your question - if someone misbehaved toward a female relative on a flight, it would be no different to whether the same thing happened in a bar, or a restaurant, or at a football match - the culprit is detained by the airport staff and then arrested when the plane lands. The only way to ensure that female relatives are never molested is to lock them in the house and never let them leave. I know that idea is attractive to some of the users on QL, but in my family we live our lives without fearing the big bad boogey man lurking around the corner and on planes. On any given day there are hundreds of thousands of flights all over the world, and in a given year we hear one or two stories like this one. You would be more likely to be killed in a car accident in Doha than to be molested by a drunk on a plane.
