Hi Yacine,
Thanks for your quick reply.

Yacine I have read the salary survey from Hays, you can find it at this link, it's very interesting : http://www.hays.ae/SER2015/index.htm

It's clearly mentionned that the salary range for :
- junior analyst is 15 000 to 24 000 QAR
- senior analyst is 20 000 to 33 000 QAR

Also I have used the SalaryExplorer.COM : and the average salary for Financial analyst in Qatar is 20667QAR.

I know it's just survey and it's wide as it takes all GCC countries. But well, it gives an idea. I don't know if those figures are including the allowances for housing and benefits.

But supposing that it includes the full package it means that I should be around 24000 to 27000QAR at least because I am not so Senior, but not really a Junior as well. And also I am coming from western company where my salary was higher + cost of living is cheaper in France (+ I was in China for 2 years before so even cheaper than France).

To conclude you said that I can ask for 16 000QAR + Allowances, so totally it gives 23/24KQAR depending what they accept in the allowances. I think is not a ridiculous counter offer, and it seems fare for local market conditions right?

16000KQAR will be enought to live (not survive!) and save some money?

But by reading the housing rental fees in Doha... I guess that with 6000QAR you can't get a good house (maybe a 1 bedroom???). Have you read about QR accommodation offer? Accommodation services are good enough and well located?

And the total car costs is around 3K/4KQAR per month, isn't it? With 1000QAR you don't go too far right? I can push until 2 or 3KQAR maybe, that's all...
