In my opinion Kashmir is like a frozen Popsicle. I don’t understand why would any potential tourists waste their energy, time and money to see a few snow covered mountains. You have to put on several layers of warm clothing which will make you uncomfortable and restrict your body movement. Just pay a visit to north east India states like Meghalaya (Sohra, shilling, cherrapunji, mawsynram, mawlynnong, wmaiam lake), south India. E.g. states of Goa, Karnataka (Mysore my hometown, Bandipur, Hampi, Belur, Halebid, Badami, Mullayanagiri, Jog falls, Coorg, Karwar, etc.) Kerala ( Alleppey backwaters, Munnar, Kumarakom, Wayanad, Thekkady, etc.), Tamilnadu (Thanjavur, Rameswaram, Mahabalipuram, Nilgiris, Ooty, Kodaikanal etc) western ghats etc. You can enjoy the excellent weather, sun, pristine beaches, jungle safari, Palaces, centuries old temple architecture, evergreen mountains and breath taking waterfalls. Donkey/Horse ride in Kashmir watching barren snow covered mountain ranges pales in comparison to a ride atop a 11 feet elephant watching tigers/deer’s in lush green forest like a king.
