Here’s a note from a SON. I’m 32, was born in Doha with asthma and eczema, grew out of it at some point. I then left to Canada at 18 for 12 years and never had any breathing or skin related issues. I’ve now been back for 2 years and asthma has kicked back in, ontop of that eczema in the last few weeks. I think the problem lies in the hardness of the water in Doha. This prevents soaps from working and instead leaves a layer of irritation on skin. The same also applies to washing clothes in hard water. Without water softeners , not all detergent can be used. I’m going to see a dermatologist now, and will try to find water softeners to be used with laundry. Ultimately I might as well install a water softening filtration system at home
